Lang Son is located in the Northeast region of Vietnam,
with many low mountains and hills, few medium mountains and no high mountains.
The average altitude is 252m above sea level; The lowest place is 20m in the
south of Huu Lung district, on the Thuong river valley; The highest place
is Phia Me peak (belonging to the Mau Son massif) 1,541m above sea level.
